The location was close to my home and accessible when my mom and I didn't have a car.
What I wish was different
Since it was a short term job, there was little to no flexibility for time off. Counselors were under trained and prepared which created more responsibilities for me to help my peers.
Advice
Before applying to summer camp jobs really ask yourself how you would feel spending 40 hours a week of unstructured time with small children. So basically understanding what you are signing yourself up for.
