The management team was friendly and appreciative. I also enjoyed working outside and feeling like my work meant something.
What I wish was different
As long as you do not need to receive pay, it is a great internship.
Advice
Be willing to work in all types of weather, be willing to adapt to the changing tasks.

Sustainable Agriculture Intern
May - August 2018 • Blue Ash, OH
What I liked
It was a super fun outdoors job near my house. I was primarily a senior camp counselor so I taught kids about farming and the animals. The staff taught me everything I needed to know and I had a great time with the kids and the rest of the interns were a lot of fun to work with.
What I wish was different
The pay was very low for how many hours I put in each week, but my title was "intern" not employee, so I can use that on my resume and it will look good.
Advice
It was definitely a fun way to stay active for the summer and get experience in my field, but the staff is kind of unorganized so it's important that you take a leadership role from the start so you can make things happen that you want to see.
