What I liked

The work culture and environment was always comforting, encouraging, and provided plenty of great feedback/constructive criticism. The people I got the pleasure of working with were always genuine with their intentions and made you feel valuable and important in the church. The variety of projects assigned was enjoyable, along with the cohort format and educational sessions on leadership and character development.

What I wish was different

The first month was a bit confusing with my main intern coach/pastor being out of town most of the month without providing clear instructions or tasks related to his department.

Advice

A lot of the work is surprisingly not strictly scheduled, so you have to have a strong skill set of self-discipline, self-motivation, and time management. You also have to be willing to do whatever work is required, no matter the size or significance. Just because you’re not visible doesn’t mean you’re not valuable.
