Go into everything with an open mind. This job is at my home church, so I feel like I had a lot of expectations going into it that slightly jaded my opinion of what this position was going to look like. I have really enjoyed this experience, but I had to change my view of what this role was going to look like as I started recruiting volunteers, prepping curriculum and doing other organizational roles. It is easy to have expectations and things that you want to happen in a position but that isn't always realistic and you have to be flexible to adjust your mindset to fix the role you are in.
