I like how I was able to actually observe the professional engineers doing relevant jobs related to the degree oi'm seeking to get. I got to sit in on weekly meetings and gain a better understanding of what their day to day work experience was like. I also got to see a wide variety of work, and help in many aspects of the job, which helped me learn a lot and get an idea of what I like and dislike about their jobs.
What I wish was different
There were times where there wasn't a lot of work to be done, and it would get boring some days. I wish my time had been utilized better during some periods of the job, so i could have helped them more, and at the same time learned more.
Advice
One piece of advice would be to go into this job open-minded and ready to learn. There is a lot of cool stuff that goes on, and the more eager you are to be a part of it the better off you will be.
