I was able to learn valuable sales skills that I know will be useful in political campaigns in the future. Additionally, there was commission; if you achieved the weekly quota, anything you raised above that number you got 25% of.
What I wish was different
The leadership in the office. They were unsupportive on days when I didn't raise as much as usual.
Advice
It takes guts and no emotions. If you take things to heart do not do this job - people say things to you on the street (especially when canvassing for Planned Parenthood).
