The mission of the Great Books Summer Program is to create warm and lively communities of learning where free inquiry, reason, and civil discourse shape critical thinking skills. We engage with enduring texts of literature and philosophy to discover and explore the great human issues and questions.
We strive to build a diverse and inclusive community of middle and high school students from across the country and around the globe. We value the diversity of our students and our staff and believe that it contributes to our productive dialogue. We strive for respectful, probing converstions in search of better understanding of ideas, our neighbors, and ourselves. Most of all, we mentor students as they embark on the quest to develop their own best thinking.
