Greater New Orleans, Inc. (GNO, Inc.)

Talent Solutions Manager

August 2022 • New Orleans, LA

What I liked

There are so many great things I could say about GNO, Inc.! First, the team is amazing. Everyone is brilliant, kind, hardworking, and "all-in" when it comes to the organization's mission. The workplace culture is fun, friendly, collaborative, and healthy. They really value having a work-life balance. While folks have the freedom to run with their personal responsibilities without micromanagement, everyone is quick to lend a hand to support each other when needed. The office space is in a really cool building downtown with panoramic views of the city - this feels really fitting as the whole team is working to make the region an even better place to live and work. The management team is completely accessible, connected, and supportive. I'm so glad to be a part of this team!

What I wish was different

I honestly can't think of any real negative things to say!

Advice

If you're thinking about applying and really passionate about the organization's mission but not sure if you're the "perfect fit" for the position, apply anyway! If you're not the most qualified applicant for a current opening, you may be a strong fit for a future role.

What I liked

One of my co-workers mentioned that the main purpose of GNO, Inc. is to change the world through economic development. From my experience, I believe this couldn't be more true. Each person that works at GNO, Inc. is motivated, hard-working, and concerned for the greater well-being of all people living in the Greater New Orleans region. Every day, I felt inspired to work as hard as I could because of the collective mindset to create or support change for the good.

What I wish was different

A smoothie king or French Truck coffee in the lobby of our building would be nice, but I might just be jealous of the Pan-Am Building

Advice

Think big and be creative when thinking about solutions.
