What I liked

I loved being able to not just do design work in the office but to also be on-site working on the murals with other interns as well as volunteers. I was able to explore parts of Chicago that I've never been to as well as listen to the voices of the communities that we work in. I love how friendly and caring everyone from Green Star was, it really felt like a close family working together. In terms of design work, I received constructive feedback and was allowed a lot of creative freedom!

What I wish was different

Advice

Mural days require a lot of hard work so bring clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and some snacks and water!

If you like Mosaic and visual arts. Green star movement is the best place to do your internship. You'll learn how to make Mosaic, have connections with people who love Mosaic
