I was treated just like any other employee, rather than as an intern. I felt empowered to make my own decisions and contribute to the staff team.
What I wish was different
The organizational structure of the Nature Center is sometimes frustrating for the naturalist staff.
Advice
Be committed and show that you're responsible, and they'll really let you take projects and run with them, which is really exciting and great learning experience.
