I really enjoyed the atmosphere and being confident to step out of my comfort zone with the work I was given. I liked that I was able to work in a variety of areas and tour the hospital.
What I wish was different
I wish that the program ran longer ( this was as a result of the ongoing pandemic) and that my work was a bit more structured. While I don't mind helping out in all areas, it really did give me experience in a fast-paced environment, I would have liked more work in what I majored in.
Advice
My biggest takeaway, was learning how to adapt. Especially with some of the technical issues that happened in the latter half of my internship. Another piece of advice would be to take the challenge; the whole point of your internship is to earn what you can do but also learn more about yourself. So enjoy it!
