I liked working closely with the head teacher on how to better attend to to the students (scheduling, playtime, IEPs, lesson plans, etc).
What I wish was different
I wish I would've worked closer with the supervisor to learn more about working on an non-profit organization and the work that goes into running such a place.
Advice
One piece of advice I would give is to be open and aware of the role(s) you as a student inter are to encounter. Be open minded about how an organization runs and what is expected of you. Also, make an effort to get to know others within that environment. It makes the internship easier when you build relationships.
