Healthy Amplified

Product Analyst

June 2023 - January 2024 • Chicago, IL

What I liked

I got to work directly with C-Suite – was involved in team calls, able to schedule one-on-ones with the CEO multiple times when I wanted, and had autonomy.

What I wish was different

While I appreciated the autonomy to choose the tasks I could undertake in my role, I would have benefited from a bit more structure. This would allow me to allocate more time to essential activities such as lead generation and landscape analysis, rather than determining the most effective use of my time.

What I liked

I liked how I was assigned different types of tasks and eventually got the freedom to lead projects.

What I wish was different

I wish sometimes there were more support but I recognize that that kind of support can be harder to provide due to the company's size.

Product Analyst Intern

September 2022 - May 2023 • Chicago, IL

What I liked

During my time as a Product Analyst Intern at Healthy Amplified, I had the opportunity to work closely with the leadership team, which provided a hands-on experience that allowed me to learn a lot from meetings and competing tasks. I particularly enjoyed the variety of projects assigned to me and the freedom given to execute my work. This made me feel valued as an intern and allowed me to acquire valuable skills in marketing, sales, and product management. I am grateful for the experience and the skills that I will take with me moving forward.

What I wish was different

While I applied for the remote internship opportunity with full awareness of the virtual nature of the position, I still would have appreciated the chance to meet and interact with my team members in person at least once.

Advice

If asked for advice about my experience, I would suggest staying informed and taking valuable notes during meetings, as this can prove helpful for upcoming tasks. Additionally, don't hesitate to reach out to leadership when needed, as they are always willing to provide guidance and answer questions.

What I wish was different

I wish I was able to work a little more at first.

Advice

Be confident when talking to people on the phone. You do a lot of calling at first, and confidence is key to being successful.

Product Analyst Intern

June - August 2022 • Chicago, IL

What I liked

I enjoyed gaining mass marketing experience with a biotechnology start-up. It was nice to witness the behind the scenes (finances, marketing efforts, etc.) and learn how to complete enterprise and lead generation tasks with small private medical practices and large healthcare corporations.

What I wish was different

I wish compensation was guaranteed at the end of the internship, but I understood that such a request was not feasible for a start-up.

Advice

Mass marketing with large medical corporations and small private medical practices requires very good teamwork, collaboration, and communication among team members.
