What I liked

I really liked being trusted to do my own thing and not having anyone hovering over me. I also appreciated knowing that my contributions would help both the staff and their clients. It was also wonderful to be able to do so many things remotely instead of on-site.

What I wish was different

I wish that I did not have to rely on employees to open the doors for me. Having a temporary electronic door login of my own would have been appreciated.

Advice

Know that every bit of work that you do, no matter if it is on-site or remote, matters and makes a difference. So, if you would prefer direct care volunteer positions, but are only able to secure more 'back of the house' type positions, know that this kind of work is equally important.
