I loved the in person aspect of the internship and the ability to work on a multitude of projects. The hands-on laboratory environment taught me so much, and I learned a variety of techniques that I had never been exposed to.
What I wish was different
Honestly, I don't wish a lot of things had been different. Perhaps that I had been assigned to one specific project that I could have significantly contributed to, but I did learn a lot by working across projects.
Advice
I would say to not be afraid to speak to anyone at the company you work at. I learned so much by talking with all levels of employees at the company, and I was able to pick their brains about simple and complex things. Everyone was so nice and willing to speak about their specialties and their experiences.
