What I liked

I liked the mission statement, and the general idea behind Hope Bridge, however, staff/management ruins this.

What I wish was different

The team had abysmal communication, between each other, and the trainees. I heard something different from everyone I talked to throughout the training process, then they blamed their poor communication on me. They don't have a working email system, they don't answer, and they don't follow up when they say they will. On top of this one of the receptionists is extremely unfriendly and difficult to talk to.

Advice

Never work for this company, unless there has been an entire change of management, worst people I have ever worked with sincerely. Not worth it. They also don't pay nearly as much as they claim to on this posting.

What I liked

It was a good full time job during the summer working with kids. I love the kids they were super sweet. Some of my coworkers I became friends, and it has been amazing. The pay is good.

What I wish was different

I wish the Center Manager would be more professional, and act in a way of a center manager. This center manager had their favorites, and made sure that if they did or did not want a kid they would get it. The center manager also would tell people to go home after only being 15 minutes into the shift because there is no kid to look after. This was very unfair. I end up resigning because of the center manger. The center manager informed me that I would be laid off due to my availability, and I did not complain and I understood. I did not see the center manager until my final day due to me telling everyone why I had to leave. This was not my decision to leave, and I had to leave. The center manager wanted to play it off as I quit voluntarily. I end up resigning because I think it was best for myself that I did not need to put up with these issues.

Advice

Read your contract and record when you talk to your center manager. I wish I recorded and I would have been able to just send it to HR to deal with it.
