About InReach

InReach (fka AsylumConnect) is a trans-led tech nonprofit building the world's first open source verified resource platform for LGBTQ+ people facing persecution or discrimination. At scale, InReach will ensure every trans and queer person has on-demand access to the safe resources they need to thrive, while contributing valuable data insights to the LGBTQ+ movement.

InReach instantly matches LGBTQ+ people in need with independently verified safe housing, medical and mental health care, immigration and other legal help, trans focused services, meal assistance, education and employment, translation, community and spiritual support, and more. Available on web (desktop and mobile), native iOS, and Android, over 9,000 services across the U.S. are currently listed with new verified services added every day by trained volunteers. InReach is a digital one-stop-shop designed to address intersectional community needs, with services focused on LGBTQ+ asylum seekers/refugees/immigrants, BIPOC communities, TGNC folks, youth and caregivers, and more. InReach is free for everyone – including lawyers, case managers, teachers, and other providers and community organizations searching for affirming resource referrals for LGBTQ+ clients.

“I am more than thankful to have gotten this unforgettable experience especially in unprecedented times of a global pandemic. AsylumConnect’s diversity, work ethics, professionalism and staff were all so inspiring, aspiring me to be the best of myself. I would like to repeat my gratitude towards their modern work setting with being so technologically advanced and ready for remote work to the point that the coronavirus didn’t impact their working style in any way. This is due to the fact that AsylumConnect is the “first tech resource platform for those fleeing persecution due to sexual orientation or gender identity”, living up to the claims of them being tech savvy especially with the organization running with staff from all over the world, working in different time zones and locations over the internet. My passion of understanding humanitarian rights and gender issues, as I hope to serve in the United Nations one day, only increased more and I have AsylumConnect to thank. ”
