I enjoyed connecting with leadership professionals in my particular field of interest. The staff is all very welcoming and friendly. They communicate well and want to make sure you succeed. They take into consideration what you want to learn/work on during the internship. It’s an appropriate amount of work based on your availability and I really appreciated that as I had another job at the time. I felt more prepared entering the workforce as I completed the internship.
What I wish was different
I would have loved to be able to meet my co-interns and the staff in person as it was all virtual. We all got along very well and was an easy group to collaborate with.
Advice
Be open to whatever comes at you. Having to switch from in-person to virtual events was very much out of my comfort zone but the staff made sure it never felt overwhelming. No matter what you are working on, you will gain valuable experience that will translate to future positions.
