The internship gave me a perspective on working a corporate job and the daily routine of an insurance underwriter. Also, the interns received exposure to a wide-variety of functions within the insurance field which I thought was useful in thinking about my career. I was able to learn about underwriting, risk-management, and how to build relationships with brokers.
What I wish was different
I wish it had been a shorter program (8/10 weeks instead of 12); it got dry towards the end and they had less projects/accounts for the interns to work on.
Advice
Go into it with an open mind and be sure to meet as many people as you can!
