Founded in 1924 by John Ernest (Ernie) Dunn, JE Dunn has been building America for 100 years. Originating in Kansas City, Missouri, we now operate in 26 offices across 18 different states. Employee-owned since 2010, we believe our success comes from our core values of giving, growth, and putting families first.

Our corporate philanthropy impacts the many markets around the nation where we build. We donate 10% of our net income to nonprofit organizations around the country, and we empower our employees to make an impact through volunteerism and an employee match program. In 2023, JE Dunn and our employees made a combined impact of $2.06 million with 488 different nonprofits selected by our employees.
To celebrate 100 years of JE Dunn, we are giving back to the communities in which we live and work. For our Building A Legacy: A Century of Generosity campaign, we’re donating $100,000 grants to 10 nonprofits nationwide, for a total of $1 million given throughout the year.
