My team was top-tier and my manager gave me space to do good work! I feel like this struck the perfect balance between a challenging and relaxing environment. Would definitely do this again
What I wish was different
They didn't have the typical tech company perks. but they're newer so I get it.
Advice
Be sure to tell a story in your interview! That's really what they look for in their people

What I liked
My days were STACKED but I loved it, there was never a dull moment. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I gained from this job. I had a mix of fe/be work, lots of exposure to Django, REST APIs, React, etc.
What I wish was different
Small company = limited freebies/perks
Advice
If you want to be scrolling on social media/Tiktok while at work then you should pursue a different internship. They kept me very busy but it ended up being quite rewarding

Business Development Intern
May - August 2022 • Los Angeles, CA
What I liked
Really exciting startup out in California that is doing cool things in the hiring space. Every day was different, my manager put a lot of trust in me.
Because of this, I was able to push myself and product great work. Definitely an impressive addition to my resume that will help me land something on the west coast.
What I wish was different
Since it's a newer company, they're being extremely picky with return offers. They did make this clear before I accepted the internship, though.
Advice
Expect the unexpected and avoid approaching your work assuming you know exactly what to do. Ask questions and don't be afraid to get it wrong!
