The people I worked with were very patient with me. I got a better understanding of autonomy of the healthcare industry focusing in specialties such as primary care and surgery.
What I wish was different
I wish it was a longer internship. I definitely learned a lot but I wish I was not as rushed and that I would be able to perform tasks by myself eventually.
Advice
Reach out to doctors for shadowing. A lot of practices are learning facilities and you don't know unless you don't reach out.
