What I liked

I liked that I was able to live in Alaska for a summer and experience a different way of life.

I wish I would have been able to stay there longer and more than just one summer.

Advice

I would share that the pilot's here are the most caring guys I have ever met in the aviation industry. They are really there to help you out and care for you after the internship.

What I liked

The location, the aircraft, and the terrain the K2 operates in all adds up to a once of a lifetime summer internship experience! The staff at K2 are amazing and the perks of the job are invaluable! Connections with pilots and a well established air cargo and flight seeing company in Alaska as well as lifelong friends made on the job are just a few of the things that I came away with.

What I wish was different

I wish that I would have been able to work more in the office seeing more detail of how dispatch worked.

Advice

Talkeetna, Alaska seems far away and is a far cry from your typical air cargo or airline internship experience. I enjoyed working with back country bush pilots in a small company because of all the different aspects of the company I got to learn from.
