What I liked

You can really work on your own schedule and you get tons of feedback. I liked the amount of flexibility I had working with Peter.

What I wish was different

As this non for profit is a startup, it isn’t a paid internship position.

Advice

If you have some extra time and want to write some articles and get helpful feedback, this internship is for you.

What I liked

Peter is a standup dude, trying to do great things. He is straightforward, a great teacher, and very understanding. Kindling itself is a very cool page, I'd highly recommend checking it out if you are interested in making the world a better place. In my position, I was able to work on my own time and at my own pace. I also really liked the feeling of creating something, being able to look back and say I helped build that.

What I wish was different

I really wish this was a paid position.

Advice

Don't be afraid to think outside the box.

What I wish was different

I wish it was a paid internship, but completely understand since Kindling is a startup non-profit.

Advice

I wasn't sure if the position at Kindling would align with my career interests but decided to take the chance anyway. There are so many skills that this internship taught me. Be open to trying new things and keep the door open on all opportunities.
