Project Engineer Intern

What I liked

Lewis was one of the best companies I have had the chance to work for. The people are awesome and truly care about you in your performance and success. It is an Employee owned company so everyone who works there wants to be there and do their very best so that they make more money. I loved the transparency of the company with all their jobs and there were monthly PE trainings that were actually a lot of tun. It was also cool to get to know people on other job sites. I was working at Starbucks Headquarters which was one of the smaller teams so the monthly trainings helped me meet some other great people in the company.

What I wish was different

Sometimes I would finish their tasks sooner than they expected and they weren't always prepared to give me more work. But when that happened I would go walk the jobsite and see what everyone else was up to.

Advice

Work hard, ask for more work before you finish your task so then you won't sit twiddling your thumbs waiting for your supervisor to give you more work, and always keep a positive attitude. An internship is a long term interview so do your best to impress.
