What I liked

I enjoyed the job environment. Dealing with retail items that I was knowledgeable about, and coworkers that also had a passion for it made the job enjoyable.

What I wish was different

Not much, perhaps more notice on schedule postings for the week but that was a very minor issue.

Advice

I would encourage customer interaction. Having conversation with customers and other coworkers while assisting the customers makes the job enjoyable.

What I liked

The environment created by Lids is unmatched by any employer. It is competitive, yet fun. Challenging, yet fulfilling. I’m beyond happy to be where I am today.

What I wish was different

Typically during the week days we run at single coverage due to payroll constraints. Sometimes the days can drag on, but when Friday comes around, we have 2-3 people working in the store and our chemistry makes the workplace a blast to be in.

Advice

I started as a sales associate and kept moving up, and now I am the store manager in the greatest city in AZ. I’ve been a lifetime shopper and sports fanatic, find a job that involves your interests, work hard, stay committed, and good things will happen.
