I loved that this job was different every day. With ten weeks of camp and ten different groups of campers, your day was truly never the same. I made friendships with my fellow coworkers that will last me for years to come and it was truly a great experience that I would recommend to anyone who wants to go into the education field.
What I wish was different
Honestly, I wish it would have been for a longer duration.
Advice
Don't be freaked out when you don't get things at first. There is definitely a learning curve that goes along with this job and it takes usually a week or so of camp to figure out your groove, learn to be confident within your counselor skin, and really shine in your job.
