I liked how LPL Financial prepared us for the work force. As interns we had engagement and enrichment sessions that would support our career and our knowledge of the finance industry, as well as the opportunity to report to a manager. All interns worked on projects that were showcased at the end of the internship.
What I wish was different
COVID-19 made our internship remote which was great in terms of spending money. However, I wish we had the opportunity to experience the corporate work environment first hand.
Advice
I recommend leading the one on ones with your manager. Those meetings are your time to pick your managers brain as well as seek advice for your current role and your future. So my advice is to take advantage of that time!
