I liked the independence and responsibility of managing my time in the lab and outside the lab.
What I wish was different
I wish we had started the program earlier to give more time for me to start my experiments.
Advice
Don't be afraid of things or opportunities that sound like they might not fit you. I never thought I would be capable of the research that I performed and it was a rewarding experience.
