Meet Boston

Digital Marketing Intern

June 2023 • Boston, MA

What I liked

- Getting hands on training from my supervisor helped me quickly learn how to navigate new platforms and gain a few new skills. - I get to work on various different tasks, as well as "own" certain projects. - Meet Boston is a women led company with plenty of age diversity. Seeing women in leadership roles and plenty of people my age made it easy to feel comfortable. - It's a social workplace: everyone is friendly. Monthly open houses and frequent social events help enhance relationships in the office.

What I wish was different

Nothing yet.

Advice

- This role has helped me feel a lot more confident about majoring in Marketing. There is so much that goes into a Marketing organization in the Tourism industry. I suggest you go to as many meetings as you can (within reason) so you gain a better understanding of the bigger picture. - Keep track of tasks you've completed to reflect on when updating your resume.

Hospitality intern

June - August 2019 • Boston, MA

What I liked

I loved meeting the people, both that I worked with everyday and also the clients that we worked and helped. I also loved seeing a different side of Boston, and getting out of my comfort zone, especially since my internship was not exactly the same as my major. And I loved how everyday was different

What I wish was different

I wish that I could’ve been able to go in everyday, instead of part time.

Advice

Always be open to new experiences, and say yes to as much as you can, because that let’s you get so many more experiences and may lead you into something that you didn’t expect
