I absolutely loved the Mesirow culture, everyone in the office is so kind and love to strike up conversations with you. My department was extremely organized in what my duties were and what projects that I was supposed to work on and it was a great experience overall!
What I wish was different
I wish that I was able to work on more projects. After finishing my assigned projects, I wish I could have worked with other departments as well. Having more of an ability to shadow other departments on other floors of the building were extremely beneficial and I wish I could have done more of that.
Advice
Make sure to network outside of the department you are interning in - this counts for any job! Making those connections will help you when applying within that company and outside of it, and will definitely be a strongsuit for you if you are wanting a return offer! Ask your coworkers and other interns to go out to lunch/meet outside of the office - those relationships will be beneficial for your future career!

Advice
Get as many internships as possible. It will help soo much after graduation. Chances are you'll have a job lined up prior to graduation if you take it seriously.
