The technical department offered a great project to really start putting my skills into practice. There was rigorous training which taught us Responsible Care and the process. I had a mentor who was a large help to completing my project and offered plenty of advice. Plenty of engagement in meeting and interactions with others in the plant. Make sure to meet the operators!
What I wish was different
I wish there had been a way to shadow operations. Since we are the tech dept, we should be familiar with the operators and what is happening.
Advice
Everyone there was willing to teach and friendly, so meet everyone you can and shadow their work one day!
