I really love coming home from work energized by the music, the enthusiastic students and their teachers. Also, I appreciate the culture of respect in this organization.

Advice
Learn about this job ahead of time from books, other ballet accompanists' blogs, and meeting with and observing real ballet accompanists. Be prepared to be flexible, do a quality job, and have fun!

My experience was only for 2 weeks working one show, but as for advice, ask questions when you don't know, everyone is so friendly and willing to help.
