Human Rights Commission Intern
April 2019 • Milwaukee, WI
What I liked
Everything! Great learning experience so far and feel like I really make a difference. Meeting all sorts of people, going all over Miwaukee.
What I wish was different
Can honestly say not much, I mean besides it being unpaid haha.
Advice
Ask around about opportunities! The only reason I got this chance was because I asked a former professor to keep a look out for me and I happened to get lucky. If I never would have asked around I would not have got it.

Lifeguard
June - August 2018 • Milwaukee, WI
What I liked
The availability of hours and network that I built.
What I wish was different
The training and certification was excessive for a summer job in college
Advice
If you are going to be a lifeguard for the summer, start in high school and not in college for the training and certification to be worth it.
