I got experience debugging in real code in Visual Studio and I was frequently part of dev meetings. It was also nice to meet and hear about the experiences of executives and other individuals at MiTek. We had the best internship coordinator!
What I wish was different
I wish that the internship could have been in person, but feel very fortunate to have particpated remotely.

Never be afraid to ask questions or to "bother" your mentors!

What I liked
Real tasks were given that we’re helping contribute to HeatPipe’s Mission and Goals. For example, I worked on several of their products’ CAD designs and drawings for improvement.
What I wish was different
I wish that nothing was different. Overall, I received a surplus of engineering experience that can be used in my field.
Advice
For this experience, you have to be detail-oriented and self-motivated. The more you apply yourself to this position, the more you will get out of it.

Inclusive community. Everyone I worked with was very encouraging and wanted to see me succeed.
What I wish was different
I wish I could have stayed a little longer because classes didn't start for a few weeks after the internship ended.
Advice
I would reccommend that you dont hesitate to ask a question when you have one. Even if the person that you are asking might not know the answer they will help direct you to the right person who can help you. No matter what job you have it is always best to seek help then do nothing.
