What I liked

At my internship, I worked on projects related to building Resilient hubs and community microgrids, especially for communities recovering from the impact of natural disasters. Working on the projects allowed me to gain insight into the managerial aspects of planning and implementing a large-scale project. I had the opportunity to network with potential clients and vendors and to learn more about the battery energy market by researching on and communicating with companies invested in the technology.

Advice

One piece of advice that I would share about my experience is learning to take initiative, especially when undertaking an unfamiliar project. When approaching such a project, first outline the available information and begin researching into aspects of it that will assist with understanding the given task and better defining a method of approach. I believe this will contribute to having a well-informed conversation with ones supervisor, especially when requesting for any form of guidance with the project.
