The kids were kind and so were their parents. It’s a privilege to work with them and help prepare them before they go to school. I work with 3-7 year olds and we teach them about faith but also how to behave in a school like environment.

Advice
To be patient. Some of kids that are looked after do not yet understand how a class works and that as the teacher they need to be listening to you. But they learn pretty quickly and it’s great to watch them improve.

If you love kids definitely give a try! Be patient and know what you’re worth. Taking care of someone else’s kids is not an easy task. Get to know the family personally, build a relationship with them and things will go smoothly. It will be an experience you will cherish!
