The staff allowed the interns to hit the ground running. We were to truly a member of the Urban League team.
What I wish was different
An in-person experience would have been rewarding as opposed to virtual and remote.

What I liked
The National Urban League was a wonderful internship opportunity in which I had the privilege and exposure of working with Senior Vice Presidents on a daily basis. I learned what it was like to work in a department, and the importance of communication and teamwork within an organization.
What I wish was different
I wish I was able to work more intensively on excel spreadsheets, however, I still had many small projects using this software program among others.
Advice
Never be afraid to ask any questions! There are many people surrounding you who want to see you succeed and can offer mentorship. However, it is an interns responsibility to initiate and engage these interpersonal relationships.
