NFM+Dymun

Graphic Design Intern

May - August 2019 • Pittsburgh, PA

What I liked

The best part of working with the team at NFM+Dymun was getting real hands-on experience and being treated like a professional, not just a student intern. They were also very flexible with scheduling and encouraged interns to sit in on meetings and be involved, which sometimes meant taking on bigger roles in client projects.

What I wish was different

Communication is so important in any job setting, especially at an Ad agency. For the most part, communication was good, but it could have been better at times.

Advice

An internship is what you make of it. You're there to learn, so don't be afraid to ask questions. Mistakes happen, but they also help you learn. Also, try to learn as much as you can from everyone with different roles on the team, not just the Creative Director (or whoever you are interning under).
