What I liked

On hands experience on the production floor, learned so much from operators and management, both in terms of life experience and work experience. Got to fly out to an internship conference in Cincinnati, OH at the end of the summer to meet with other Novolex interns and share what we did with each other and the upper management and CEO of the company.

What I wish was different

Engineering applications limited, currently writing Standard Operation & Procedure manuals for machines, doing some work in AutoCAD to map production floor. It's still extremely valuable industry experience, but limited amount of practical engineering + decision making.

Advice

Seek out projects, if you're bored or don't know what to do ask for more, get involved and your experience will be greatly improved. There's a lot to learn from everyone here, don't be afraid to ask questions.
