This paid position was part of the college summer program that hosts both undergrad and grad students. Occasional events or program meetings allow everyone to come together to share their current experiences in DDC and foster connections with one another. DDC is a very diverse workplace and my department always made me feel welcomed. They gave me the opportunity to attend numerous meetings and see first hand the process of design research, proposals and so much more.
What I wish was different
A rotation in departments would've been nice to allow interns to see what their colleagues are doing.
Advice
Always take initiative and don't be afraid to ask questions.

What I liked
I liked the opportunity to network with professionals who have been in the industry for years and learn from them. I also liked that I was taken to an active construction site and learn from the professionals as they are working on the project.
What I wish was different
I wish I was given tasks that were more technical and design related.
Advice
Do not hesitate to ask questions about possible future opportunities for yourselves whenever you are at an internship and always keep in touch with your supervisors.
