Sales Intern

June - August 2019 • Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ

What I liked

RB gives you a summer project that you get to own, allowing you to make an impact and be entrepreneurial in finding a solution. People are great to work with and very helpful, and there are a lot of other interns that you can get to know.

What I wish was different

If you don't make a point of seeking out perspectives and advice from people around the office, you might not get it. You have to go in with the mindset of wanting to learn and ask people questions. If RB was more upfront about this, interns would know how to approach the summer.

Advice

Do everything you can to sit in on meetings, ask questions, sit down to chat with people, etc. It's the best way to see if the company is a fit for you, and it'll help with your project too.

Financial Analyst Intern

June - August 2019 • Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ

What I liked

I loved the autonomy I had with my job. I was able to take my projects, put my own spin on them, and present them to upper management. I was on a first name basis with all of upper management in the finance department, and I learned so much that way.

What I wish was different

I wish I could have gone deeper into the finance department, getting exposure to other sides of finance within the company. I look forward to doing that when I start my full time role at RB!

Advice

Always double and triple check your work before presenting or submitting. Taking an extra five minutes to ensure the quality of something you do can certainly go a long way.

Sales & Marketing Intern

What I liked

The project style of the internship, instead of stereotypical cold calling internship.

What I wish was different

More of a focus on financial training and other interns being more integrated with their teams.

Advice

RB is a fantastic company and make sure to integrate with your team and you will have a tremendous experience.

Sales Intern

June - August 2018 • Parsippany, NJ

What I liked

I loved the fast paced yet forgiving work environment they provided me with. They also offered a very competitive wage and allowed interns to perform meaningful work. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I am excited to go back next year.

What I wish was different

My manager was a little too relaxed for my taste. He was also out of the office a ton for his job. I feel like I could've benefited from having a manager who was around a little more. However, moving around was a big part of his job so I can't blame him or the company for it.

Advice

Don't be afraid to jump into the culture from day one

Trade Marketing Intern

June 2018 • Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ

What I liked

Independence of project direction, supportive/constructive team, highly motivated/energetic environment, feedback from managers, challenging and diverse activities, highly organized program.

What I wish was different

More sitting in on meetings and exposure to other job tasks beyond my project.

Advice

Go in prepared to work from day one. Develop a good relationship with your manager and surrounding team. You will rely on them for a lot of information and advice and having them want to help you because you fostered those relationships from the start is vital as you come down the stretch for your presentation.

Sales Intern

June - August 2018 • Bentonville, AR

What I liked

RB is a very fast paced company that works hard to achieve their goals. They have brands that are recognized all over the country. I really enjoy knowing that what I did this summer will affect how people shop in 2019.

What I wish was different

There is very little about my internship experience i would change. I really enjoyed getting to know the business, but would have like to seen/been apart of more day-to-day operations.

Advice

I highly recommend applying to an internship or for the graduate program at RB. The company cares about their employees, the health of Americans, and the betterment of the world.
