What I liked

Great environment to work with like-minded, driven people. Fellow staff were always willing to take the initiative. It was a great opportunity to work with kids in an outdoor setting.

What I wish was different

You get almost no time to yourself. You might get one night starting at 6 pm and then one full 24 hour day off a week, but that is it.

Advice

If you're looking to boost some social skills and develop your ability to work with kids, this is the job for you. Though hard some days, it is extremely rewarding and the connections you make working at a camp stay with you for life. In today's social-media ridden, technology-driver world, summer camp is an essential place for kids to learn to interact with one another in a healthy, natural way.
