I loved the amount of trust they had in me as an intern there. I was given a lot of responsibilities and could go as far as I was willing to learn.
What I wish was different
I wish that I could have had more one-on-one instruction to get better feedback as to how I was doing.
Advice
I would advise the person to be willing to go out of his/her comfort zone and to just enjoy the experience. Don't stress out too much but enjoy the experience.

Occupational Therapist Intern
August - October 2019 • Rexburg, ID
What I liked
I loved being able to experience the similarities and differences between pediatrics and geriatrics. I loved getting to know the therapists and clients and learning more about the job as well as the patients. I learned a lot and had many different experiences with different types of injury recovery, developmental disabilities, and hippotherapy.
What I wish was different
I wish I would've known about occupational therapy before, that way I could participate as an occupational therapy assistant and be able to do more for the company and the patients.
Advice
I would advise to ask a lot of questions, make suggestions, or anything else that would help you learn. I would also advise to take some initiative and help in any way possible, whether it's fetching things or taking over for a therapist if they have to run off for a couple of minutes.
