It was a great opportunity to interact with health system executives and hospital administrators. My day-to-day activities consisted of regular data analysis and entry, which gave me a broader understanding of who we care for and how that care was exceptional in the eyes of the patient.
What I wish was different
I wish there was a larger cohort of interns, as I was the only intern in my building.
Advice
Get to know the different facilities and care services that the health system offers. Many people have spent their entire life in the Riverside Health System for emergent or primary care due to the array of services and the connections they make with the people they meet.
