I like how involved they allow me to be as a student. I do not just sit behind a computer screen and have people teach me by paper. I am actively performing tasks that teaches me the insides and outs of the hospital. I work very closely with physicians and different providers. I am involved in many of the physician and leadership programs and trainings.
What I wish was different
I wish I had began sooner instead of waiting till I finished high school. I had the opportunity to start in high school and I didn't.
Advice
When given the advantage to hold an internship, no matter how small, do it. The connections that you make doing these internships are priceless. I have made so many connections with different people across Kentucky and other states. I would always recommend an internship to anybody who is looking for a chance to excel their career.

What I wish was different
I wish I would have had more time to become better integrated into the team. I feel like I didn't do as much as I could have during my time there.
Advice
Always feel comfortable to ask questions and learn new things so that you can be more of service.
