What I wish was different
The company culture was internally competitive and often worked against the effective delivery of projects. Effective communication and cooperation is key when delivering complex, multi-component, technology. As problems come up, whether from technicians to customer decision making, it is imperative that said concerns are voiced early so as to be dealt with swiftly. Pride is often deleterious to product delivery.
Advice
Talk with engineers and technicians at site visit/interview to understand process difficulties and pitfalls. Assess if these concerns of the company workflow are manageable or have been improving with the leadership.
