Absolutely everything. I got a front seat view of how a community development and arts advocacy organizations operates, what goes into it, how much work it takes, what relationships you have to develop to make it effective, and just how important fundraising is.
What I wish was different
Nothing. Everything I learned was invaluable.
Advice
Be prepared to multi-task and think about multiple events and issues at the same time. This kind of job entails juggling a million things at once.
