I liked the flexibility. I was able to work remotely, which is nice because I was able to be home for my daughter. I was able to work at my own pace. I liked the weekly status meetings. The work was very interesting. I felt like I was a part of a larger scheme of things. I wanted the portion of research I contributed to be helpful to the researcher's endgame.
What I wish was different
Nothing! I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Thankful for the opportunity honestly.
Advice
If you have the option of creating your own schedule, then stick to it! Commit to that time in order to keep a steady pace. Try to treat your home as your office as much as possible and hold yourself accountable for your progress.
