I loved the hands-on experience of working with the residents in the memory care facility. It was truly so rewarding to care for them. I would sit and talk with them and learn so much about their life. I liked how the facility was managed and how everyone in the building wanted the best for the elderly residents.
What I wish was different
I wish that I was able to spend more time with the residents and learn more about caring for people with dementia.
Advice
Be patient! People that have dementia still have feelings, thoughts, and opinions. They deserve your time and your patience, and they also deserve your kindness and love.
